Chairman of Presidency of BiH, Bakir Izetbegovic, and Minister of Economy and Commerce of Qatar, Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim al-Thani, announced the finalization of an agreement on the establishment of direct air traffic between BiH and Qatar.
During talks in Sarajevo, Izetbegovic and Al Thani discussed the possibilities of further facilitating the inflow of investments in BiH by removing bureaucratic obstacles, as announced from the Presidency of BiH.
In the statement was noted that Izetbegovic emphasized the excellent relations between the two countries, welcoming a record influx of visitors from Qatar in BiH.
President of the Islamic Development Bank Ali emphasized the growing importance of Islamic banking in the global economy, and announced further support for projects in BiH as well as new investments of the Islamic Development Bank.
Former Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Jasin emphasized the great interest of the country for further cooperation with BiH, specially emphasizing projects in the field of education and development of human resources, as well as many opportunities in the field of trade and tourism.
Both sides agreed that good relations between BiH and Malaysia should be continuously improved on the field of economy.
The Special Envoy of the President of Indonesia Shihab said that “Sarajevo Business Forum” represents BiH to the world, and he conveyed the invitation of the President Joko Widodo for official visit to that country, which Chairman Izetbegovic accepted.
Important projects in the field of development of energy resources and electrical system in Indonesia were discussed during the meeting, together with the possibilities of participation of BiH companies in them.
