The flower of Srebrenica, a symbol of the genocide against Bosniaks committed in July 1995, was placed near the Sarajevo settlement “Miljacka” and the Bingo City Center inside the roundabout.
Photojournalists captured what the finalized symbol of the flower of Srebrenica looks like from the air.
The flower was placed on one of the busiest roads in the city of Sarajevo to remind passers-by of the horrors that happened in July 1995.
The flower also known as the Srebrenica flower has a clear message. White color is for innocence, green for hope, and eleven petals symbolize July 11th, that is, the day when the genocide against Bosniaks in Srebrenica was committed.
