Call for help, more precisely information that in riverbed of Miljacka are four helpless puppies was received about 9 pm, and firefighters immediately went to Wilson’s Promenade, right across the Face café.

“On the field went four firefighters: Muhamed Nadir Duran, Neven Bratic, Resad Jusic and Fahri Frlj, and puppies were saved from the channel very soon. Because of the extreme cold, firefighters decided to take the puppies into the station in a warm and safe place, and they were transferred to veterinary station during the day. They stated on their Facebook page and concluded post with: “We do not leave anyone after the intervention.”

Besides the medal, firefighters from Vratnik received a valuable donation from Dogs Trust, and they underwent training for humane trapping of dogs that find themselves in trouble.

All of this followed after several actions of rescuing dogs. Among those actions were the one when they pulled the dog thrown into the Miljacka, and saved the puppy that was thrown into the canal in Mihrivode.
