Free Transportation in Sarajevo during Measures of Emergency

tram stationAs long as the emergency measures are active, residents of Canton Sarajevo will be provided with free transportation by trams and trolleybuses of GRAS, as confirmed from Government of Canton Sarajevo.

Government of Canton Sarajevo will cover all costs due to the decision to provide free transportation by vehicles of GRAS.

To recall, Operational Headquarters of the Government of Canton Sarajevo issued a measure that is necessary to maximize the capacity of public transportation that does not pollute the environment, thus boost traffic of trolleybuses and trams.

This decision came after the indicators of pollutants in the air showed an alarming exceed of permitted value of solid particles PM 10.

The authorities also introduced control measure of traffic by system odd and even. In fact, tomorrow from 7 am ban applies to all vehicles whose registration number are ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, and 8, while from midnight ban applies to vehicles with odd registration numbers.
