Fires still active in BiH, Help of Armed Forces needed

According to the latest information from the Operational Center for Civil Protection of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton (HNK), fires are still active in the area of ​​Stolac and Neum, and the population and facilities are currently not endangered.

“According to the information we received from DVD Stolac, the fire in Stolovi and Crnoglav is still active, but they are under control. Currently, the population, residential and business facilities are not endangered,” the HNK Operations Center reported this morning.

They add that yesterday at around 1 pm a request was sent to the Armed Forces of BiH for help in extinguishing fires from the air, and that the fires in Gornja Duboka and Goli Brdo were extinguished.
According to this morning’s information received by the HNK Operations Center from PVP Neum, the fires at the Gornje Hrasno, Kula and Dobri Do sites are active. Firefighters are on the scene and controlling the fire and currently the population, housing and other facilities are not endangered.
The Operations Center states that the fire in Zelenikovac endangers residential buildings, but that firefighters are keeping it under control for now.
Three fires in the past 24 hours were registered in Mostar and one in Dretelj near Capljina.
In Mostar, a car, grass and low vegetation were on fire, while in the settlement of Dretelj, plastic seats on a sports field were on fire, according to a report by the HNK Civil Protection Operations Center.
