First Ethno Village near Banja Luka to be opened. Definitely worth of Visiting!

etnoseloThe first autochthon ethno village – museum Ljubačke doline will be opened on Monday, April 20, in Ljubačevo near Banja Luka.

As announced from the Tourist Organization of the City of Banja Luka, co-organizer and promoter of this event organized by occasion of Day of the City, ethno village “Ljubačke doline” covers an area of about two hectares of in the village Ljubačevo, about 17 kilometers south of the center of Banja Luka.

The idea of Ethno village was born from the love of his owner, Nedeljko Branković, towards the old way of life, antiques, culture and tradition.

ljubackedolineEthno Village Ljubačke doline was set up as an outdoor museum with the intention to present the life of a cooperative from this region, its spiritual and material culture from the late 19th and early 20th century.

It is made of around 30 authentic buildings from the surrounding villages, such as residential houses, barns for wheat, dairy and lodge (building for sleeping), barns for corn, stable, shepherd’s cottage shed for the storage of agricultural machines and tools, apiary, distillery etc.

The central building of the ethno village is designed as the bezistan (exhibition space) at the same time, where you can find the pub, antique shop, tailor, weaver, barber, pharmacist / herbalist etc.

A special part of ethno village Ljubačke doline is the museum that has more than 5,000 exhibits divided into collections.
