PRVI U REGIONU "EVROPSKI RESURSNI CENTAR ZA PREVENCIJU TRGOVINE LJUDIMA" OTVOREN U SARAJEVUThe official opening of the ‘European Resource Center for the Prevention of Human Trafficking and Other Forms of Exploitation’ took place today in Sarajevo.

‘This is the first center of its kind in B&H, as well as in the entire region. It will provide information on human trafficking, trends and direction of movement and how people can recognize this type of criminal defense’’, said the Director of the Center Amela Efendić.

She pointed out that trafficking in B&H is quite pronounced, and the particular problem is children who are forced to work or beg.

The Center opened with the organization of the International Forum for Solidarity –EMMAUS (MFS-EMMAUS) and the Department for Combating Human Trafficking of the B&H Ministry of Security.

The web portal of the newly opened Center is connected to the web portal of the B&H Ministry of Security and the application of criminal offenses will be completely anonymous and will be prosecuted by law enforcement agencies.

Efendić said that next year a Center for Safer Internet will open, whose goal would be primarily the protection of children.
