The first Kebab Festival (kebab or cevap, is a traditional Bosnian dish, i.e. grilled minced meat that is usually served with flat bread and onions) will be held in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This festival takes place today, August 26, in Sarajevo, in the Atmejdan Park. It is planned for the festival to become a regional event in the upcoming period, as announced by the organizing committee.
This festival will take place from 1 PM to 7 PM on Saturday under the name “Sarajevo Cevap Fest 2017”. The announced program will consist of the performance of the cultural-artistic associations and their performance of sevdalinka songs, tasting of cevap and barbecues, different competitions and a lot of fun.
The festival has a non-commercial character, and the idea for organizing this festival came from the need for additional services, attractions and manifestations that will further enrich the tourist offer of the Municipality of Sarajevo and Stari Grad.
“Sarajevo Cevap Fest 2017” has a great potential to become a regional event that will be recognized and held in the summer months every year. Besides enriching the tourist offer, this project will also have a great importance in improving the strongest brand of Sarajevo, cevap, which is still on the leading position in our country and the region,” as said in the statement of organizers.
