First Time in four Months: Hamas shelled Tel Aviv

The Palestinian group Hamas said it fired a volley of rockets at the Israeli coastal city of Tel Aviv.

Al-Qasam Brigades said the attack “was a response to Israeli massacres of civilians in Gaza”.

Israeli Army Radio reported that sirens sounded in the greater Tel Aviv area in central Israel.

Sunday’s rocket fire was the first in four months on the Israeli city since January 29.

Israel continued its brutal offensive against the Gaza Strip despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.

Nearly 36,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza, the vast majority women and children, and more than 80,600 wounded since last October.

After more than seven months of Israeli war, large parts of Gaza are in ruins due to the blockade of food, clean water and medicine.

Israel has been accused of genocide before the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which in its latest ruling ordered Tel Aviv to immediately end its operation in Rafah, the southern Gaza city where more than a million displaced Palestinians have sought refuge, AA writes.
