ce_markThe aim of the project “CE marking – passport for export-oriented companies in BiH” is to increase the competitiveness of BiH companies through the provision of advisory and technical assistance.

President of the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH, Bruno Bojic, said at yesterday’s presentation of the project that five companies from BiH were enabled to put “CE” marking on their products through it.

Bojic emphasized that these companies were provided with full consulting services in the preparation of technical documentation for the process of harmonization of the product with the requirements of EU directives. He emphasized that “CE” marking does not mean the quality of the product, however, it is a key indicator that the product is complied with European legislation and that it has granted free circulation in the EU market.

According to him, the project was implemented by the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH with the support of the Swiss Embassy in BiH.

“This way we enabled five of our companies to freely sell their products and services to the EU market,” said Bojic, adding that the Foreign Trade Chamber of BiH will continue to work on this and similar projects in order to enable domestic companies to be closer and more efficient on the European market.

Program Coordinator for Economic Cooperation at the Embassy of Switzerland, Almir Tanovic, stated that the Swiss government is supporting the development of BiH for 20 years and that more than 50 million CHF has been invested in various projects.
