bih_repkaThe B&H Basketball Association (KSB&H) has been working on bringing a new selector to the B&H basketball team.

After the departure of Aco Petrović, there are several names that are vying to fill the spot. The shortlist for selectors are Nenad Marković, Dragan Šakota, Duško Ivanović, Adis Bećiragić and Emir Mutapčić.

However, the Chairman of the Board of the Basketball Association Elmedina Konaković would not confirm or deny the information from portal klix.ba of the eventual successor to Petrović.

‘’The final discussions with several trainers are underway. A proposal is prepared for the board of directors, and then we will have the list of names’’, said Konaković.

The decision on the new selector will be made in the middle of this month, after discussions with all potential candidates will be completed.

As far as the contract, Konaković confirmed that it would not be much different from the contract by selectors from neighboring countries.

The aim of the new Basketball Association Board is to bring an expert who wouldlead the B&H team among the 16 best in Europe. The new selector will have the chance for this at the next European Championship that will be held in 2015 in Ukraine.
