Flooded Restaurants near Blagaj after increased Water Level

Heavy rainfall caused an increase in the water level of the Buna River, where catering facilities located along the Blagaj tekkia were flooded yesterday.

The owners point out that this is a common problem in Blagaj that they are used to, but today it caused them a bigger problem.

Tens of thousands of believers arrived yesterday from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also beyond, to attend the oldest cultural and religious event, which is organized by the Mufti of Mostar, the Tariqat Center of BiH, the Majlis of Islamic Community Mostar, the Karađoz-beg madrasah and B.Z.K. “Revival” Mostar.

Precisely because of heavy rainfall, caterers could not offer services at full capacity.

The residents of Blagaj have been struggling with this problem for years, but as they say, a systemic solution is still pending.
