protest2As it was previously announced, protests for support of recent director of the Health Center were held yesterday in Srebrenica.

Citizens are demand the session of the Assembly of Municipality of Srebrenica to be held until the 30th of October and to withdraw the decision to dismiss the director of the Health Center, Nenad Milosevic, and that the Court of B&H and the Court of RS speed up the processes of criminal charges from the area of this municipality and to dismiss the Vice President of the Assembly of the Municipality of Srebrenica, Hamdija Fejzic, who is the president of the Organizing Committee of SDA (OC SDA).

Despite the rain, several hundred people are on the street, demanding reaction from the municipal authorities. Citizens of Srebrenica, both Bosniaks and Serbs, are protesting together and demanding dismissing for the first time after the war.

To recall, on the session of the Assembly of the Municipality held on the 23rd of September, director of Health Center Nenad Milosevic was dismissed, and the X-ray technician, Aleksandar Jovanovic, came on his place.

This move, which was enabled by an affirmative vote of councilors of SDA, SB&H and SDP B&H, was objected by the Mayor of Srebrenica, Camil Durakovic, who resigned after that.

“I’ve tried to be on the position of functionality of the Health Center, which is essential for our local community, but egos and personal interests prevailed and dismissed someone just because political relations got disturbed. SDA curtsied to SNSD and these is a real problems for me,” said Durakovic.
