The ambassadors, the heads of missions, of Ireland, Italy, Japan, Canada, the Netherlands, Germany, Norway, Switzerland and the United Kingdom in Bosnia and Herzegovina announced on the occasion of the held General Elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“The introduction of new electoral technologies throughout the country represents an important step forward for democracy in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For the first time, new electoral technologies were introduced throughout the country, which established important additional safeguards that help protect the vote of every citizen and strengthen confidence in the electoral process,” they stated.
They gave recognition to the Central Election Commission of BiH and employees throughout the country for implementing this significant reform.
“The task was extremely demanding, and they successfully responded. We also recognize the important role of the ‘Under Scrutiny’ Coalition, both in voter education and election observation. The direction is clear: towards elections that are more transparent, credible and enjoy greater trust from citizens throughout BiH. Above all, democracy depends on the participation of citizens. Kudos to everyone who went to the polls and exercised their democratic right to decide the future of their country,” they concluded.
