Foreign Trade Turnover in RS increased by over 1 Billion BAM

The total foreign trade turnover of Republika Srpska (RS) in the last year amounted to 8.334 billion BAM, which is 1.063 billion BAM or 14.63 percent of foreign trade turnover from 2016, according to the information adopted yesterday by the Government of RS.

The information also states that the realized export in the last year was higher by 21.34 percent, and imports by 10.2 percent compared to 2016, while the coverage of exports to imports was 71.58 percent, as the Office for public relations of the RS Government stated.

The total foreign trade deficit in the last year amounted to 1.38 billion BAM and is lower compared to 2016 when it amounted to nearly 1.6 billion BAM.

Total foreign trade turnover of RS with countries of European Union (EU) in the last year was by 14.85 percent higher than in 2016.

Import of RS from EU countries in the observed period is higher by 9.36%, and exports increased by 20.72%.

Last year, RS total foreign trade turnover with the countries of CEFTA grew by 12.53 percent compared to 2016, where imports increased by 5.94 percent and exports by 23.75 percent.
