The former commander of the Serbian Gendarmerie, General Bratislav Dikic, was returned from the BiH border yesterday due to the records in the register of foreigners, which is filled in and kept by the Service for Foreigners, said director of the BiH Border Police Zoran Galic to Srna.
Galic said that Dikic was returned at the Raca border crossing, but that the BiH Border Police had nothing to do with it.
“We are an entity that only acts according to what someone inserts. It is a record of foreigners that is filled by the Service for Foreigners’ Affairs, and they keep that register, the so-called ROS,” Galic explained.
Director of the Service for Foreigners Affairs Slobodan Ujić told Srna that the register of foreign citizens is owned by the Ministry of Security of BiH, the Border Police and the Service for Foreigners Affairs.
“If someone is registered in the database, then it says why he is there and the border policeman read that,” said Ujic, adding that the BiH Intelligence and Security Agency (OSA) is the only one competent to say that someone is a threat to BiH security.
It should be reminded that Dikic was sentenced to eight years in prison before the High Court in Podgorica for an attempted coup on the day of the parliamentary elections in Montenegro in October 2016.
The first instance verdict convicted Dikic of aiding and abetting terrorism and creating a criminal organization. The Court of Appeals overturned that verdict and returned the procedure for a new decision.
