mladiThe Foundation “Hastor” will assign 1.211 scholarships in the school year 2014/2015 to the children and young students from around B&H.

This foundation increased the number of scholars and will ensure scholarships for 531 pupils of elementary schools, 518 secondary school students and 162 university students.

“So far we finished signing the contract in 80 towns for the pupils of elementary and secondary schools while university students will sign their contracts in November” – stated Nina Branković, executive director of the Hastor Foundation and added:

“Our goal was to mark this year’s beginning of school in an appropriate way so we started signing contracts at the beginning of this month. The first contracts were signed in Bugojno, Donji Vakuf and Gornji Vakuf while the rest of them were signed in Olovo, Kladanj, Milići, Zvornik, Kalesija and Tuzla. Yesterday, 83 contracts on providing scholarships to the students of the Canton of Sarajevo were signed.”

This foundation also prepared over 2 000 backpacks for its scholarship students from the flooded area.

The Hastor Foundation is primarily dedicated to children and young population whose social and economic status is making their education hard for them. It stimulates and encourages them to become independent and self-confident leaders in their community.

The foundation was founded in 2006 and is the most important institution of this kind in B&H and in the region.
