Four more children have died as a result of starvation in the last seven days in the Gaza Strip, reports Anadolu.

Israel has continued its attacks since October 7 last year. As a result of Israeli attacks and blockades, a major humanitarian disaster occurred.

“We lost a child in the hospital due to malnutrition in the last hours,” said Husam Abu Safiye, director of Kamal Advan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip.

He stated that four children, who were brought to the hospital due to malnutrition, died in the past week.

Abu Safiye noted that 250 children have been brought to the hospital due to malnutrition and dehydration in the past two weeks.

He said that despite the difficulties and Israeli attacks on medical teams and institutions, he would continue to stand with the people of Gaza.

Abu Safiye stated that Palestinians are also facing the spread of diseases and epidemics, in addition to the hunger and death that surrounds northern Gaza.

Calling on international organizations to step up aid efforts to northern Gaza, including allowing the flow of food, drinking water and fuel, Abu Safiye said: “We will face a health disaster in which more and more patients and those with chronic diseases will be at risk of life.”

On June 3, the media office announced that 3,500 children in Gaza face death due to starvation.

In violation of a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire, Israel has faced international condemnation amid its continued brutal offensive on Gaza since October 7 last year.

At least 37,551 Palestinians have been killed in the Israeli offensive on the Gaza Strip since October last year, the Ministry of Health in the besieged enclave announced on Saturday.

More than eight months after Israel’s war, large parts of Gaza lie in ruins.
