Free Swimming School for Primary School Pupils from Monday

poolMunicipality of Novo Sarajevo, in cooperation with PE ”Olympic Pool Otoka,” will continue to organize free swimming lessons for schoolchildren of Novo Sarajevo, with the goal of teaching children basic swimming skills and training the proper performance of swimming techniques. Swimming lessons at the Olympic pool Otoka are provided for all schoolchildren from second to ninth grade, regardless of whether they are in the category of non-swimmers or swimmers, and after the test, they will be divided in following homogeneous groups: non-swimmers, half-swimmers, beginner swimmer and swimmer.

After realization of the first cycle of the training program for children of the Center ”Vladimir Nazor” and School for secondary vocational education and vocational training, free swimming lessons will be provided for children of six elementary schools: Kovacici, Hrasno, Grbavica I, Grbavica II, Malta and Cengic Vila I, starting from Monday, the 14th of December this year.

All primary schools in Novo Sarajevo will have two training cycles at its disposal by the end of 2015/2016 school year. Separate term is determined for each school which is adapted to the teaching program, in a period of 10 working days.
