Fulfilling the “Passport Competence” – The Hope for Lower Unemployment in B&H

papersThe German government organization GIZ presented in Sarajevo the instrument “The Passport competence” for which the German Institute for Adult Education (DIE ) received the copyrights, and 200 people in B&H will complete it by the end of 2013.

“This is part of the first phase of the project “The Passport competence”, which started in 2011 and will last until 2016. The instrument passport competencies should enable a better systematization of jobs, increase the efficiency of labor and a greater awareness of their own qualities”, stated the coordinator of the project “Passport competence”, Amra Muratović.

The first phase of the project is conducted from January 2011 until December 2013 in Sarajevo Canton, Zenica- Doboj Canton and in the area of Banja Luka.

The Ministry of Civil Affairs of B&H, the Federal Employment Service, the Employment Service of the Canton Sarajevo and Zenica- Doboj Canton are included in the process of adaptation of “Passport competence” to B&H.

All interested citizens who want to complete their “passport competence” can contact the employment services of the Sarajevo Canton and Zenica-Doboj Canton or job centers of Laktaš, Čelinac and Srbac.

The value of the project “passport competence” is five million euros. The second phase of the project begins in 2014 and ends in 2016.
