Energoinvest d.d. Sarajevo informed the public that Russian gas supplier Gazprom Export has submitted a new price of natural gas for the fourth quarter of 2023. That is why, as stated, Energoinvest recalculated the cost and price of natural gas for tariff customers approved by the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) Government. The request for the correction of the price of natural gas was submitted to the Government of the FBiH yesterday, and the percentage increase in the price of gas would be 4.96% compared to the price from the previous quarter.

“The increase in the price of natural gas was influenced by the increase in the price of oil derivatives, which affect the formation of producer prices of natural gas. There was also a trend of increase in the value of USD in relation to EUR and BAM, which in summary resulted in the above-mentioned increase. If the FBiH Government approves the above request, the new sales price of natural gas according to the distributor Sarajevogas will be 0.837 BAM/m3 compared to the price from the previous quarter, which was 0.797 BAM/m3, and will be applied from October 1st, 2023″, according to Energoinvest.

They note that this is “the first increase in the price of natural gas in 2023, and so far in the period from January 1st, 2023 to September 30th, 2023 the price of gas was reduced by 37.4% compared to the last quarter of 2022″, N1 reports.
