GDP recorded a Decrease in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the Fourth Quarter of 2019

The real GDP growth in the fourth quarter of 2019, compared to the same quarter of the previous year, amounted 1,6 %.

According to seasonally adjusted data, GDP decreased by 0,1% in the fourth quarter of 2019, as compared to the previous quarter, according to the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Observed by activities, in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, real growth of the gross value added was recorded in: Information and communication 8,9% and Administrative and support service activities 7,3%.

Real fall of the gross value added was recorded in: Arts, entertainment and recreation 6,3% and Mining and quarrying 3,7%.

The real GDP growth by expenditure approach in the fourth quarter of 2019, compare to the same quarter of the previous year amounted 1,6%.

According to seasonally adjusted data, GDP increased by 0,1 % in the fourth quarter of 2019, as compared to the previous quarter.

Observed by category of GDP by expenditure approach, in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared to the same quarter of the previous year, real growth was recorded in categories: Household final consumption expenditure 0,04 %, General government consumption expenditure 1,6%, Gross capital formation 1,9%, while real decrease have been recorded in following categories, export of goods and services -0,7% and Import of goods and services -2,0%.
