electionsThe deadline for submitting applications for candidate lists for the upcoming general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina expires on 14th July.

“Until now there have been no submitted lists of candidates,” said the spokesperson of the Central Election Commission Maksida Pirić.

In her words, past practice has shown that this is done in the last day or two ahead of the deadline.

After July 14, the CEC will perform checkup and verification of candidates’ lists which satisfy the statutory requirements.

Deadline for the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina to perform final verification is August 8.

Pirić says that until August 13th political entities can submit compensation lists, and until August 28th CECBiH will announce the final list of candidates in the official gazette and in the media.

65 political parties, 24 independent candidates and 24 coalitions have been verified for the general elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
