Global Action on Saturday “Earth Hour”

stari_mostMostar, Sarajevo, Banja Luka and other cities in B&H will join the worlds major cities on the last Saturday in March for Earth Hour the biggest global volunteer action that is organized for eight  years in a row by the World Organization for Nature (WWF).

The central event in B&H will be held in Mostar, where there will be an artistic installation with candles at OKC Abrašević at 20:00, and the lights will turn off at the old bridge in Mostar, said at a press conference in Mostar.

The event is organized by WWF BiH, in cooperation with the United World College in Mostar, Ecological Association Eco-Most Mostar, Association of Sport Fishermen Neretva 1993, and with the support of the Mostar City Administration.

Organizers at the press conference said that every year there is an increasing response to this action, not only in the world but also in B&H, and they called on citizens, companies and all others who are interested to take part in this action on Saturday and turn off the lights, as their contribution to Earth Hour.
