Gold found in Three Locations in Bosnia

The Minister of Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska (RS), Petar Djokic, spoke yesterday in Banja Luka with representatives of Lykos Balkan Metals d.o.o. Bijeljina, it was announced from this Ministry.

Representatives of this company presented their work and plans for the next period at the meeting.

They informed Djokic about the results of the geological exploration carried out so far in the area of the municipalities of Jezero and Cajnice, with reference to recent media reports about the gold found in the area of the municipality of Jezero, as well as gold, silver and lead in the area of the municipality of Cajnice, according to the announcement.

The representatives of the company Lykos Balkan Metals confirmed that the research in this sense showed certain positive indicators, that the geological exploration carried out so far showed the presence of gold in three places in the Jezero research area where appropriate samples were taken.

They pointed out that, through their subsidiary companies, they have already invested significant capital in the RS, that they are one of the largest investors in the field of geological research and that their work is intended to continue to positively influence the economic climate and development of the RS.

Djokic emphasized that detailed geological explorations were approved in accordance with the Law on Geological Explorations, that they must be carried out in accordance with the existing legal framework and approved project documentation, Biznis Info reports.
