The completion of the first phase of the construction of gondola lift from Ravna Mountain towards Jahorina should be finished in about 20 days when the trial run is expected, after which this modern vertical transport should be put into operation at the beginning of December, when this year’s ski season is expected to start, said the creator of this project and owner of the company “Majneks” Pale, Veljko Golijanin.
“This year’s “Gondola Pale – Jahorina” – “Jahorina express” will be our novelty, and it is followed by 7.5 kilometers of newly built ski slopes, the expansion and drainage of the ski slopes, as well as their grassing, which will provide better and safer conditions for all the skiers who are planning to visit our center this year,” said Golijanin.
In the first phase, the gondola lift will consist of 19 cabins that can accommodate up to 10 skiers, i.e. visitors, so the total capacity of the gondola lift will be 2,200 passengers per hour.
He added that the hut “Gondola” was built at the location called Vidikovac, because of a beautiful view on the tops of Vlasic, Tornik, Zlatibor and the slopes of the Roman Plateau, and the hut has a capacity of about 300 seats.
According to him, this season will be marked by several major international skiing competitions, and the first of them is scheduled for December 14, when the FIS race “Ravna Mountain Trophy” should take place.
“Another novelty is an express-restaurant, a fast-food or ready-made meals line, for all the skiers who love to enjoy the clean air and the beautiful natural surroundings of Ravna Mountain as much as possible,” said the spokesperson of Majneks.
It was confirmed that up to 25 million BAM has been invested in this private project of the company “Majneks”.
