Good News: More recovered than infected in Canton Sarajevo

In the last 24 hours, six patients infected with coronavirus died in the Sarajevo Canton. 847 people were tested, of which 119 were newly infected. In the same period, 179 people recovered from coronavirus infection.

Of the total number of newly infected, 84, or 70.58 percent, belong to family clusters or contacts with previously infected persons, which is why they are in self-isolation from before.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,695 active cases of coronavirus infection. The total number of infected is 51,055, and the total number of cured is 48,233.

Currently, 5,644 of our fellow citizens are in self-isolation. According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, in the past seven days, the average number of infected is 127, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 212.

Currently, 444 people are hospitalized in CS, 306 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 138 patients at the General Hospital “Prim. Dr. Abdulah Nakaš”. There are 14 patients on the respirator, nine at the KCUS and five at the General Hospital. At the same time, 46 patients use oxygen support for breathing above 15 liters per minute at the KCUS, and 19 at the General Hospital. In the past 24 hours, 17 people were discharged from hospitalization. 479 patients were examined in the Covid-dispensaries of the Public Institution Dom zdravlja KS, of which seven were transported to the General Hospital, and six to the KCUS, Avaz writes.
