The newly appointed Ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to BiH, Matthew Field, presented his credentials to the Chief of Department of Diplomatic Protocol of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH, Mirsad Besic.

Field will replace Edward Ferguson on the position of the ambassador.

As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the UK previously announced, Field has rich experience and a biography.

He joined the British Office for Foreign Affairs in the year of 2003. He worked in the Middle East peace process, then as a resource manager, he was the head of the Department for the EU in Croatia and as a political advisor to the EU Special Representative in Macedonia. Moreover, he worked at the Directorate for America as well as a political advisor in Brazil.

Experienced diplomat Field worked as head of the Political Department of the EU Delegation and the Office of EU Special Representative in BiH in 2016.
