map-google-searchA few days ago, Google revealed the list of terms and people that were mostly searched on the Internet during 2016.

Based on this list of the most used search engine, Time made an interactive map that documents which person was searched the most on Google.

The top trending person was the president-elect of the United States Donald Trump – in more than 88 countries, while people in some other countries were looking for information about some other politicians, athletes and other celebrities.

Trump attracted the most attention – from Mexico to Belgium. When it comes to other politicians, people searched about Julio Guzman, a candidate for president of Peru who was disqualified, Lula da Silva, the former president of Brazil, who was accused of corruption and money laundering.

People also searched the Olympic gold medalist Mariana Pajon, Leonardo DiCaprio was searched in Morocco, Gigi Hadid in Montenegro, Angelina Jolie in Tunisia…

The most “googled” person in our country was – Donald Trump as well.
