12957386_1753208724915804_298395881_nAmbassador of Japan to BiH, Kazuya Ogawa, yesterday paid his first official visit to BPK Gorazde. Reason for the visit was the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries and the possibilities for closer cooperation in the field of economy.

“We especially refer to the economic cooperation, and the reason why we think that Gorazde is one of the good partners is that it is known for its industrial production, several successful companies have production capacities in the area of Gorazde, they possess the qualifications and work force,” said Kazuya Ogawa, the Ambassador of Japan to BiH.

“The common interest of the ministry and myself as Minister, as well as the cantonal governments, is to develop economic relations and in this regard their visit resulted in additional information related to the potential of BPK, in which we could be competitive and interesting to investors from Japan,” said the Minister of Economy in the Government of the BPK Gorazde, Meho Masala.

Until now, direct investment from the country of the rising sun were avoiding BiH, but BiH partners will get the opportunity to attract investors and strengthen trade links in October, when the arrival of the Japanese business mission is planned, according to the Ambassador.

“This is an initial visit that certainly gave me some basic information on how we can continue to work on the development of cooperation between our embassy and potential investors and Gorazde, and the visit to one of the companies that operate precisely in the sector of car parts is on the protocol,” said Kazuya Ogawa, the Ambassador of Japan to BiH.
