Government appoints Police Commissioner of Canton Sarajevo

At today’s session, the Government of the Canton of Sarajevo adopted the Decision on the appointment of Chief Inspector Fatmir Hajdarević as Police Commissioner in the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Canton Sarajevo, who is assigned the rank of Inspector General of Police. The police commissioner’s mandate lasts four years.

Fatmir Hajdarević was born in 1975 in Sarajevo.

Before being appointed to the position of Deputy Police Commissioner, among other things, he worked as the head of the Ilidža Police Department, the head of the Criminal Police Department in the Police Department Novo Sarajevo, the commander of the Novi Grad Police Station, the commander of the Specialist Support Unit, and he also served as the head of the Office of the Police Commissioner.

As part of the Bosnian contingent of the civilian police, during 2005, he stayed in the UN peacekeeping mission in Liberia. He actively speaks English and Turkish.
