The Government of the Federation of BiH passed two decisions allocating a total of 200,000 BAM from the FBiH Budget for 2023 for the implementation of the Project “Incentive for the Survival of Old and Traditional Crafts”.
Funds will be allocated to users as non-refundable (grant) funds in accordance with the criteria established by the decisions, the public competition and the Rulebook on procedures in the implementation of the Small Business Development Program.
The decisions established that the project “Incentive for the survival of old and traditional crafts” is implemented for the purpose of preserving craft traditions, cultural and historical heritage by encouraging traditional and old craft activities, and by co-financing the costs of purchasing equipment and raw materials, as well as improving working conditions and professional training of employees .
The criteria for the distribution of funds are the purpose of the investment, type of activity, sources – method of financing, number of employees, belonging to the target group, more even regional development (level of development of LGUs), and incentives of the Ministry in the last five years.
The category of beneficiaries of the funds are artisans who perform traditional and old trades based on the registration decision issued by the competent municipal/city body and which is in accordance with the Law on Trades and Related Activities in FBiH, and whose activity is on the list of traditional and old trades and they perform the same in accordance with the Regulation on the Protection of Traditional and Old Crafts. Also, it is necessary that the craftsmen have their headquarters in the territory of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, that they are registered no later than 31.12.2022., and that they have at least one employee.
For the distribution of these funds, the Federal Ministry of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts will announce a public tender that will be published in the Official Gazette of FBiH, on the Ministry’s website and in daily newspapers.
