“GRAS“ officially put into Operation Four Newly bought Trolleybuses

gras new troleybusCantonal Public Utility Company GRAS put yesterday into operation four out of 15 newly bought trolleybuses from Geneva.

Director of GRAS, Avdo Vatric, said that trolleybuses were bought from the funds of the Government of Sarajevo Canton in a total amount of 600.000 BAM, and that it is about used vehicles that are in a very good condition.

He stated that a total of nine of these trolleybuses should be in the traffic from the next week and they are expecting a delivery of the last six trolleybuses from Geneva by which the number of trolleybuses will be increased from  current 20 to 30, since that five vehicles are always out of order due to the service and maintenance.

“We hope that by this purchase, we will offer a more comfortable transport to citizens of Sarajevo, reduce congestions and enable them to arrive more quickly to their destinations“, emphasized Vatric.

He added that they are expecting a delivery of five trams from the donation of Konya in August, after the first-test tram that is already delivered, and the donation is consisted of a total of 20 trams.
