edin_dzeko_asromaThis season of Serie A was completed with last night’s football matches, and Edin Dzeko officially became the best scorer of the Italian Championship.

This season, Dzeko managed to score a total of 29 goals in Serie A, which is one more goal than Dries Mertens from Napoli, who is on the second place.

During the majority of the season, Dzeko’s biggest competition was the attacker of Turin Andrea Belotti, who fell in shape in the finish of the season and managed to score only one goal in the last six matches, thus finishing the season with a total of 26 goals.

Dzeko scored a total of 39 goals in all competitions this season. With 29 goals in Serie A, our attacker also scored two goals in the Cup and eight in the Europa League, where he was also crowned as the best scorer.

This was definitely the best goal getter season for Dzeko so far in his career, in which he even managed to surpass the phenomenal effect from the season 2008/2009, when he scored a total of 36 goals, of which 26 in the Bundesliga, while playing for Wolfsburg.
