During June, about 11.000 tourist overnight stays were registered in Trebinje, and an extremely large number of tourists who visited the southernmost city of Republika Srpska (RS), so the Tourist Organization is extremely satisfied with the start of the summer tourist season in this city.
Mirjana Putica, the director of the Tourist Organization of Trebinje, stated that it was obvious from the May Day and Easter holidays that the tourist season would be successful – when the occupancy of accommodation capacities was 90 percent.
“In June, we had the first open-air concert in the region in Trebinje as part of a motorcycle rally, and it was extremely well attended,” told Putica.
Also, she added that the tourist offer of Trebinje was promoted last weekend in Banja Luka on Krajina Square, and a big promotion of the tourist offer of Trebinje was held in Belgrade as well.
According to her, the campaign “This summer too, Trebinje is waiting for you” is underway, which is being implemented through promotion and digital channels in all major cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), Serbia, and Montenegro.
“The largest number of tourists visit us from those countries, particularly from Serbia, as well as domestic tourists from the RS and Montenegro,” said Putica.
Further, she added that during the summer months, advertising space was leased in Banja Luka and other larger cities in BiH, for more adequate preparation and better presentation of the tourist offer of Trebinje, and promotional videos were prepared and planned to be broadcast during June and July through social networks.
Putica pointed out that the tourist offer of Trebinje is universal throughout the year, and during the summer season, for all tourists who decide to visit this city in the south of RS, many interesting facilities are available, such as the tourist complex “City of the Sun”, city pools, and natural bathing areas.
“Adventure is an unavoidable part of the tourist offer of Trebinje, and as of recently tourists, as well as locals, are offered an adventure park in Ubla, for which great interest has been expressed, it is already attractive, and the plan is to expand the content in the future,” Putica noted, BHRT writes.
