On the suggestion of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations and State Veterinary Office, on the session in January, the Standing Committee on plants, animals and food of the European Commission, approved the transport of fresh meat of cattle from BiH through the territory of the European Union, announced the Ministry of Foreign trade and economic relations.
Minister Mirko Sarovic said that with this decision, that the efforts made by the Ministry and the State Veterinary Office resulted in the decision to give the green light for the transportation of meat to the territory of the European Union.
These will affect the export of meat to Turkey and Russia, as exporters will be able to use alternative transport options.
