industrial-productionThis year in BiH is expected growth of industrial production by 5 % and this growth should be even higher than 5 % next year and in 2019, as announced from the Directorate for Economic Planning.

This year is envisaged growth of the world economy by 3.4 %, while its projected growth in the Eurozone is 1.4 %.

These developments in the international economy environment should have a positive impact on the economic situation in the region and economic activity in BiH, as stated in the Program of economic reforms.

This is especially referring to industrial production in BiH, the most in the manufacturing industry and its export-oriented industries, which are depending on the movement of foreign demand.

It is expected that export-oriented sectors, such as furniture manufacturing, chemical industry, spare parts for cars with a slightly lower contribution of the metal industry and increasingly important contribution to the food industry, should be a key of increasing production.

A consistent and timely implementation of the Reform Agenda should allow improvement in the operations of companies from BiH, which should result in increased investment and production within the manufacturing industry.

Besides the manufacturing industry, this year is expected a significant contribution of the energy sector, which is responsible for a third of total industrial production in BiH.

Positive developments in the immediate environment, with a timely and consistent implementation of structural reforms, should result in increased of industrial capacity in BiH, which is reflected in the increased volume of production and a higher level of investment.
