Within the Planinarenje.ba Project, in cooperation with the Mountain Rescue Service (GSS) of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH), has created an SOS application to facilitate the rescue of hikers in distress. The application is available for Android, iOS, and Huawei devices.

The application is free of charge and is used exclusively as a tool that greatly facilitates the successful and rapid execution of search and rescue operations, while increasing citizens’ chances of a successful rescue.

“Rescue is always a demanding and complex operation, but it would at least be somewhat easier in cases where the GSS receives all data about the missing person, including their exact location,” they state from the GSS of the FBiH.

Information and updates about the application, as well as download links, are available at https://sos-gss.ba/
