Last night at around 2 am, a fire broke out at the Hadži Paša Mosque, known as the Wooden Mosque, in the Kolobara settlement in Brčko.
Although three fire engines extinguished the fire, the mosque was completely destroyed.
The causes of the fire have not yet been determined, and the Brčko District Police of Bosnia and Herzegovina are conducting an investigation.
This mosque is also known as the Kolobara Wooden Mosque or the Wooden Mosque, and was built in the first half of the 19th century with the funds of Hadži Paša Mujkanović, an exile from Šabac.
During the aggression against Bosnia and Herzegovina, this mosque was mined and demolished.
It was restored in its original form in 2011 and handed over for use to the Tarikat Center in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Klix.ba writes.
