Hadzibegic: The Match against Qatar will be the most difficult mentally

“I am one of the many who are surprised that we lost, especially with such a high score. Personally, I think we helped them beat us, because we made catastrophic mistakes. But it is an integral part of the progress of this young national team. They have to go through that period in order to gain experience,” former coach of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, legend of Football Club Sarajevo and representative of the former Yugoslavia Faruk Hadžibegić said in a statement for Fena, commenting on yesterday’s defeat of BiH against Switzerland.

“In addition to the fact that the result is unexpected for me personally, I don’t think that Switzerland is better than us. But it happened as it happened and that’s why football is interesting. I would have liked to have won, but we didn’t do what we should have done,” says Hadžibegić.

However, he points out, we should turn to the next match against Qatar, which can lead us to the opportunity to go to the second round in the event of a victory, which he believes.

“Because if we don’t beat Qatar, it’s really worrying,” Hadžibegić points out.

According to him, we should forget this defeat as soon as possible.

“Learn lessons from that game and be careful in the next game, which is important to advance to the next round. We have the capacity, the crowd supports us, and I think that this young team is capable of beating Qatar and advancing to the next round of the World Championship,” said Hadžibegić.

He emphasizes that it happened to him yesterday, but that time passes quickly.

“The matches are coming, there is no time to cry. We need to refresh ourselves as soon as possible both mentally and physically for the next match, which will also be difficult. It may be the most difficult mentally. But Qatar is an easier opponent than Switzerland, and now we have to win. The point does not suit us. I think we will succeed,” said Hadžibegić.
