Half of Professors in RS Younger than 40

young-profAn analysis by the RS Ministry of Education and Culture has shown that in the RS half of the professors are younger than 40.

In September 2013, the teaching process in this B&H entity included 3.686 professors in secondary schools. Most of the professors (1.286) are from 26 to 35 years of age, and the least (105) are from 20 to 25 years.

A total of 51 percent of professors in secondary schools are up to 40 years of age, while 324 educational workers are older than 60, or 8,8 percent, confirmed the Acting Assistant Minister for Preschool, Elementary and Secondary Education Zdravko Marjanović.

According to the analysis, 993 professors have up to five years of experience, or around 27 percent, and around 46,5 percent of professors have up to 10 years of experience, while 222 professors have from 36-40 years of experience.
