150116127.2_mnBosnia and Herzegovina has an opportunity to progress after the October elections, to become more dynamical, more prosperous, more stable country, said the Minister of foreign affairs of the United Kingdom, Philip Hammond, after the meeting with the leaders of political parties.

“We will today leave Sarajevo with the optimism and confidence that the bright  future is ahead of us. We hope that political leaders of this this country won’ t miss the opportunity given to them and go towards the EU membership“, said Hammond.

As he said, protests in February last year were warning that things cannot be as they were until now, and that people require a better future, jobs, prosperity, economic  growth and hope for the country.

He reminded that he and the German minister of foreign affairs, Frank Walter Steinmeier, launched an initiative to give a new driving force to the accession process of BiH to EU.

“Now that initiative has been adopted by our colleagues in the EU. It is now the initiative of EU. Our today’ s visit is meant to be the encouragement to politicians, political leaders from all levels of government to support this initiative together. We wanted them to use this opportunity, and  not to miss perhaps the best offer that EU will ever give to BiH, said Hammond.
