Has the EU started Discussions on the Closure of the Office of the High Representative in BiH?

After the media published the information that the Administration of the European Union started discussions on the status of the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the closure of the OHR, and that France was in charge of preparing the material, BHT1 checked this information and asked for answers.

The Embassy of France in BiH rejected these claims for BHT1.

They state that France supports the mandate of the High Representative and has no plans to examine the status of the OHR in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

In the OHR, they state that the goals that the BiH authorities should fulfill before the closure of the OHR have long been known and marked under the 5+2 program.

We remind you that some media announced that the administration of the European Union started discussions about the status of the Office of the High Representative for BiH about thirty days ago.

It was stated that three options are on the table: reducing the powers of the OHR, moving the OHR and closing the Office of the High Representative.

According to the same sources, EU officials tasked France with preparing materials that would then be delivered to all members of the Peace Implementation Council in BiH (PIC).
