Media activities of the “A” national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is preparing for the UEFA Nations League matches, were held today in Ilidža.
Ajdin Hasić and goalkeeper Salko Hamzić addressed the media representatives:
In the introduction, Hasić stated that he was overjoyed to be invited to the national team, and referred to the next opponent, the Polish team in whose league he is playing:
“Even though they don’t have any notable results in the last couple of years, we know that they are quite a solid team. They have a couple of players from the domestic championship, we already heard from each other via messages when they found out that I got an invitation, they congratulated me. I would love if I could make my debut against them.”
Ajdin Hasić says about the group in which Poland, Sweden and Romania are in addition to the BiH team:
“Extremely difficult group. I think the one who wants it the most will win and I hope it will be us. Anyone can beat anyone. We are looking forward to those matches, to face those national teams, from which, I hope, we will be better.”
Hasić also commented on Edin Džeka’s farewell to the national team:
“It’s unnecessary to talk about who Edin Dzeko is and how much joy he brought to all of us. It’s hard for us to say goodbye to this jersey, but I think he deserved to decide for himself when enough is enough and I wish him the best of luck in the future.”
Salko Hamzić said about the invitation to the national team:
“This invitation means everything in my life. As a child I dreamed of this, to be a member of the national team and to represent my country. I am overjoyed, I can’t even describe how I feel.”
When asked what tipped the scales in favor of choosing Bosnia and Herzegovina, Hamzić replied:
“I was born here; that’s what drew me in the most. I know the people, I know what we’re like, I know we love football—and that’s it. There’s nothing more to say about other countries or national teams.”
The “Dragons” will hold a training session today at 5:00 PM at Grbavica.
