Želimir Nešković, head of the Election Headquarters of the Serbian Democratic Party (SDS), stated that at the moment their candidate Branko Blanuša is leading by 17,000 votes compared to his opponent Siniša Karan.

“In Banja Luka, 50 percent of the votes have been counted and our candidate is leading by 6,000 votes. According to the results we received, our candidate, Blanuša, has almost eliminated Karan,” added Nešković.

He says that Blanuša is also leading in Lopare, Modriča, Istočna Ilidža, Ugjevik, Prnjavor, Gacko, Kotor Varoš, Ljubinje, Berkovići, Prijedor, and that in Doboj the difference is minimal for Karan.

Previously, SNDS spokesperson Radovan Kovačević said that party president Milorad Dodik would soon declare Siniša Karan’s victory.

Voting for the RS president in the early elections was held in Republika Srpska today.
