Head of the Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina and EU Special Representative, Ambassador Lars-Gunnar Wigemark, will visit Šamac and Brčko District BiH on Thursday, 29 October 2015.
In Šamac, Ambassador Wigemark will meet with Mayor Savo Minić and Municipal Assembly Speaker, Predrag Marinković, to discuss European Integration related issues and to hear local viewpoints.
Together with Mayor, Ambassador Wigemark will officially open the Municipality building in Šamac, rehabilitated under the EU Floods Recovery Programme. Successful completion of all rehabilitation works in this municipality, for which the EU invested nearly 3.5 million EUR under this Programme, will also be marked on this occasion.
In Brčko District BiH, Ambassador Wigemark will meet with Mayor, Anto Domić, Deputy Mayor, Đorđa Kojić, District Assembly Speaker, Esed Kadrić and Deputy Speaker, Adem Ribić to discuss the important role of the District in European Integration of the country.
Accompanied by Mayor and Chief of Police of Brčko District BiH, Goran Pišić, Ambassador will visit the construction site of the new HQ of the Brčko District Police for which the EU provided 3.5 million EUR.
Ambassador will also visit the Youth Centre “Vermont” in Brčko District which has been supported by the EU through number of projects.
