Hearing cancelled for Elez, accused of Organized Crime

Darko Elez, accused of organized crime, was scheduled to be heard in the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina on Monday, October 18. 

Elez is in three-year custody due to the criminal offenses charged against him in the “Puppet” case, and at the same time he is being held due to criminal offenses documented by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republika Srpska. 

He is awaiting trial before the Court of BiH on charges of a number of crimes in the area of ​​East Sarajevo and BiH, including mafia murders, extortion and intimidation. 

Elez was extradited from Serbia on March 3, where he lived after serving a prison sentence in Serbia. The confirmed indictment from the “Puppet” case charges him with organized crime in connection with several serious criminal acts, including aggravated murder, attempted murder and robbery of money transport, committed from 2005 to 2009.
