New Cases of Coronavirus recorded in Sarajevo

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, 80 new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton last day, after laboratory testing of 608 samples.

In the same period, 133 people recovered from Covid-19 infection. Four patients died as a result of this disease.

There are currently 192 patients in hospital, 170 of whom have an acute infection, while the rest are post covid or under observation / triage.

The share of vaccinated persons in the number of hospitalized is 9.14 percent. 118 patients are being treated at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”74.

There are six people on the respirator, and 10 patients use non-invasive ventilation. Oxygen breathing support above 15 liters per minute is used by 20 patients. Today, Sarajevo Canton records 1,326 active cases of Covid-19 infection.

There are currently 2,480 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 61,378 people infected with the coronavirus have been registered, and 58,619 have been cured.

“In the past seven days, the average number of infected is 137, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 227,” according to the Public Health Institute of CS.
