EUFOR troops from four different nations conducted a multinational deployment in the area of Bijeljina today with precise coordination as part of Exercise Quick Response 2026, demonstrating the ability of the force to rapidly reinforce its presence and respond when required.

Romanian and French platoons deployed from Tuzla, while Italian and Dutch paratroopers were transported towards Bijeljina by an Italian CH-47 Chinook. The multinational elements subsequently integrated as part of an exercise scenario conducted in support of Bosnia and Herzegovina’s local law enforcement agencies.

The challenging scenario tested EUFOR’s ability to rapidly intervene with forces from several contributing nations, combine airborne and ground capabilities and support the relevant authorities in restoring safe and secure conditions.

Particular emphasis was placed on the deployment of Italian and Dutch paratroopers, demonstrating an additional means through which EUFOR reserve forces can rapidly reinforce the mission and operate alongside troops already present in theatre.

Exercise Quick Response 2026 demonstrates EUFOR’s capacity, credibility and readiness, while strengthening interoperability between multinational forces operating across Bosnia and Herzegovina.

By training to deploy and integrate forces rapidly, EUFOR maintains a credible and responsive capability able to support the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina when required.
