EU Food Inspectors arrived in BiH to approve the export of Meat

The inspection team of the Food and Health Directorate of the European Union arrived in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to evaluate the system of official controls in the poultry sector in order to approve the export of poultry products from BiH to the European Union.

A meeting of the inspection team with the representatives of the Veterinary Office of BiH and other relevant authorities is underway.

It is planned that by October 6th, the inspectors will visit the entity agriculture ministries and the entity inspectorates, the two laboratories carrying out different types of laboratory analyses in the poultry sector and four objects – two poultry slaughterhouses and two poultry processing facilities.

The team will also visit four facilities belonging to the companies Brovis, Madi, Agreks and Ovako to check the functioning of the system of official controls in the poultry sector.
